Founded in 1926, the Central Fabricators Association (CFA) is a not-for-profit trade association serving Structural Steel Fabricators across the Midwest.
CFA fosters continual improvement for business and personal development through education and idea exchange. Not only do we provide a forum for discussing management successes and failures, we also act as a clearing house for labor data, compiling industry wide reports for members on safety, wages, benefits, insurance, pensions and related topics.
Through quarterly meetings, publications and other educational activities, CFA keeps its members informed on what is happening in the industry and how to improve business operations.
Seminars | Publications | Personal Contacts | Statistical Surveys | Annual Safety Awards | Steel Mill Briefings | Shop Facility Tours
Most CFA members are also members of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). CFA encourages companies to join both organizations and many CFA members participate in AISC through committees and various leadership positions.
"CFA has allowed me a forum to meet and get to know some of the leaders of our industry - the sharing of ideas and information has taken our business to a new level."
Tyler Owen - Paxton & Vierling Steel Company
"CFA is a perfect example of the power and resulting benefit of a trade association----bringing together the collective financial & intellectual resources of a diverse group to address and offer solutions to the strategic & operational issues of the individual members."
Ted Hazledine - Benchmark Fabricated Steel
"CFA is a unique forum allowing our company the benefit of sharing relevant information with quality fabricators who understand our business."
Dan Kadrmas, President, TrueNorth Steel
